Advocating for Defence families

Albury City Council

are pleased to announce that Albury City Council is now recognised as a Defence Partner Friendly Employer

From Thongs to Thermals, re-locating to Albury-Wodonga from Townsville, North Queensland has been nothing but a journey.

Arriving with winter impending and in the middle of a pandemic, was not entirely by choice but by lifestyle, the lifestyle of an Australian Defence Force Partner.

Born and raised in Townsville, Albury-Wodonga was our first posting and presented new surroundings and opportunities for myself and my family. The thought of leaving family, friends and an established life, was daunting and presented numerous questions and concerns.

However, my transition has been nothing but wonderful and a large part of that is due to obtaining a position with AlburyCity, as an Executive Support Officer for Business, Growth and Community.

Working within a dynamic and progressive organisation has provided me with various opportunities, both personally and professionally. AlburyCity is a fantastic place to work, with friendly staff, development opportunities, flexibility, employee benefits and a sustainable work-life balance. AlburyCity is an organisation that I highly recommend to all, especially Australian Defence Force Partners.
