The ADF Families Survey is a joint initiative of Defence Community Organisation and Defence Families of Australia.
The 2017 ADF Families Survey focused on employment, wellbeing, childcare and awareness and use of support services. Overall, 4649 civilian partners, members of a dual ADF couple, single parent ADF members, ADF members with dependents other than partners or children and parents of ADF members responded to the survey.
DFA and DCO work closely with Defence researchers on the design and analysis of the surveys. At DFA we use feedback we have received from families to help inform the questions that will be asked. The surveys are an incredibly important avenue for you to have your say and we encourage you to complete the next one in 2019.
