The ADF Families Survey is a joint initiative of Defence Families of Australia and Defence Community Organisation
Defence Families of Australia use the survey data to inform our advocacy work and assist in understanding the impact of Defence life on ADF families.
Thank you to everyone who completed the survey for 2019.
The survey was administered online in June 2019 and 3,652 people responded.
Children’s education, housing quality and location, and partner employment were the most important considerations for ADF families.
Partner employment, together with the ADF member’s employment, were the most predominant considerations in families’ decisions to be on Member With Dependent Unaccompanied (MWD(U)) arrangements.
