DCO offers an employment support program to assist partners in relocation employment related expenses.
DCO’s Partner Employment Assistance Program (PEAP) provides funding towards initiatives to assist ADF partners with the immediate difficulties of finding employment when the member is relocated on posting. In each posting location, partners of ADF personnel can apply for up to $1,500 in funding to pay for mandatory fees for professional re-registration required under legislation and/or to engage professional employment services.
This funding is subject to Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) so it is recommended to seek financial advice before applying for funding.
As partner employment remains one of DFA’s primary advocacy issues, DFA will continue to discuss this program with DCO.
