National Delegate: Masela Draper

I joined DFA in October 2021 as the National Delegate for the Northern Territory and the Kimberley region. I have been a Defence spouse since early 2010, with numerous moves around the country, so I understand firsthand the challenges that families face while living this unique lifestyle, particularly living in the Top End. Our son is also in the Army.
I am very pleased, and proud to now have the opportunity to support and advocate for the
NT/Kimberley region for Defence families. I am passionate about understanding and supporting families through both their challenges and successes.
I have 20+ years’ of demonstrated experience in consistently forming ongoing relationships with clients and stakeholders, and delivering to Service Level Agreements and KPIs in high-activity environments. I am a creative thinker with a love for building innovative solutions and strong teams.

Some of my previous roles include:
– Unisys (Canberra) – OCM Senior Manager/Service Manager/Business Excellence Manager
– Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (Canberra) – Lead Business Analyst
– Department of Corporate and Information Services (DCIS) (Darwin) – Senior Business Analyst
– Ministry of Health (Sydney) – PMO Business Analysis Team Leader, Centre of Epidemiology
– 2010 Attorney General’s D-Branch (Canberra) – Assistant Director Business Analysis

Whether I can assist with supplying information, or if you have issues or concerns and you are not sure where to go for assistance, or if you would like to share a positive experience you have had in the NT/Kimberley, I would love to hear from you.
